CAPACITY SLINGERS FOR STOCKPILES
The medium capacity jet slinger shown here is suitable for slinging
grain, woodchips, salt, sugar, coal and fertilisers of rates
in the range of 100TPH to 500TPH.

DESIGN
FEATURES
This machine incorporates all of the Techniplan innovations to
slingers such as the quick belt change facility, constant belt
length and tension under all trajectory angles, and correct loading
geometry independent of luff angle. This jet slinger has been
designed to allow the endless belt to be replaced with minimum
dismantling of the machine, and without the need for cranes. The
machine jacks itself apart for belt changing by means of hydraulic
cylinders. Belt changeover can be carried out within an hour by
two men working on the integral platform.
The jet slinger incorporates a ball bearing slewing ring for smooth
slewing motion. Directional adjustments are controlled by geared
brake motor driving through a pinion onto the slew ring gear.
Luff angle is controlled by hydraulic cylinders.
Electric screws jack can be incorporated as an alternative. Independently
free wheeling large diameter deflector sheaves are used to enhance
belt tracking. The slinger has an integral body and chute, which
can be lined with a variety of wear resistant materials.
Other options available are stainless steel pulleys, bypass chute
and electrical cable feeding devices.
Techniplan also manufactures small portable slingers of capacity
50-100TPH as well as high capacity slingers up to 1000TPH. |

INNOVATIVE
QUICK BELT CHANGE FACILITY
These jet slingers incorporate an innovative solution for the
quick change-over of conveyor belts. These machines have been
specifically designed to allow the endless belt to be replaced
with minimum dismantling of the equipment and without the need
for cranes. The trajectory luff mechanisms are used to lower the
slinger into the change-over position. Belt change-over can be
effected by two men in under an hour.
MODERN DESIGN
These machines are used for continuous stockpiling of woodchips.
Unique design features include constant belt length and tension
and well as correct feed geometry under all angles of luff. The
slinger incorporates a ballbearing slewing ring and has individually
rotating hold down rollers. The integral jet slinger main body
and feed chute is constructed from stainless steel for long life.

is a Jet slinger used for sugar loading. This slinger, installed
at Lautoka, Fiji ,has been in operation since 1995. Since building
this machine, Techniplan has built a sugar sling, in operation
at Mackay, Australia, with 2800 tph capacity.
