ADDITIONAL
FLEXIBILITY:
The machines incorporate a number of working motions which enable
the operator to exchange sleepers in varying conditions. The
three stage telescopic boom incorporates luffing and slewing
motions as well as a gripper head tilt motion. These motions
include boom slew plus/minus 15 degrees for gripping poorly
placed sleepers, and "wrist action" for gripping sleepers
on embankments. The sleeper gripper head can be adapted to suit
a large range of timber sleepers as well as concrete sleepers.
The unit is powered by an air cooled diesel engine providing
hydraulic power to all of the above motions plus track jacks,
rail clamps, a centre off tracking jack and hydraulic drives
and brakes.
