This is an attachment to a fork lift for stacking pleasure craft
at a commercial marina on the Gold Coast in Queensland. Techniplan
designs and builds custom attachments including container spreaders,
forklift devices, rotators, mechanical arms and similar.

The Device
comprises four purposely designed
attachments for use in conjunction with an ingot carrying road
train which hauls aluminium ingots from Boyne Smelter to the
nearby wharf. The attachments hydraulically operate
two fences installed on each of the two custom built quad
axle trailers in the road train operated by QRX for this
purpose.
The Ingot Constraint System consists of four
hydraulically raised and lowered steel fences, which are used to
surround the ingots whilst the road train is in transit. The
fences are lowered to the sides of the trailers during loading
and unloading operations in order to provide access for
forklifts and reach stackers which handle the ingots. The fences
are lagged with rubber on the ingot side, in order to prevent
damage to the aluminium payload. |

Cranes &
Winches
The
grillage lifting cranes are a pair of purpose built fixed jib
cranes which are bolted to the existing bridge deck. The cranes
cantilever approximately 6.4 metres out from the end of the
partially erected bridge deck. This is a sufficient distance to
enable the new deck grillage to be hoisted vertically from a
barge in the river and then bolted to the end of the previously
erected deck section.

The Jetty Commuter vehicle provides maintenance
access to the jetty belt conveyor, for the Teibaghi Shiploading
Facilities.
The vehicle is
a
self-propelled diesel powered hydraulic machine. The vehicle is
provided with a hydraulic traction system, enabling infinitely
variable speed control from low to high speed in both directions.

Jetty Vehicle

The Gantry Crane provides 4.5 tonne
lifting capacity throughout the 93m of jetty for maintenance of
ship loading equipment. The Gantry Crane is a maintenance crane
consisting of an electrical hoist, travel drives, work platform,
and control board.
